The Newburyport Farmers’ Market opens tomorrow! We talked about the new vendors at the Market, CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture), and why local food is the way to go!
It’s busy in Newburyport, and Ann and the Chamber are responsible for many reasons why. The Chamber’s Annual Meeting is June 1 and their keynote speaker is Governor Baker. The re-opening of the Inn Street Fountain, the opening of the splash pad happens June 4. Spring Fest is over Memorial Day weekend.
Opportunity works provides work and life skill training for developmentally challenged individuals. Their annual “Lend a Hand Auction” is on May 7 … won’t you lend a hand?
In her second term, Senator O’Connor Ives is a good friend of Local Pulse. We talked about charter school legislation, the increase in the age required to buy tobacco products, the shelved natural gas pipeline, and more!
